This is the position of the midrail opted for in the door sections of the single door.

If you do not select a custom midrail height this is supplied automatically at 850mm for standard door designs. If you have a panelled door, the midrail will be set appropriately according to the panel design. You can also select the height you desire. This height is measured from the bottom of the frame to the centre of the midrail.

Please note this does not include any cill or frame extenders requested.

The thickness of the midrail is determined by a letterbox, If a letterbox is required, a 110mm midrail will be used otherwise a 85mm midrail will be used.

A full frame threshold will have an upstand of 70mm. A low uPVC threshold will have an upstand of 60mm. A disabled threshold is a Stormguard aluminium threshold which is part M approved.

If a colour (gold or chrome) is not stated in the notes of the product, we will choose the colour we feel is more in keeping with the selected door.

The cill is the material that the frame sits on and projects externally, if required.

The height of the cill is 30mm, the different depth options will distinguish the overhang from the frame, which will be 70mm shorter than the size stated as this is the width of the frame.

A multiple frame make up will show a wider framework on your combination.

Certain options will show that a multiple framework is required. This is to allow for clearance of openers, disabled thresholds etc. If you have all options available to you, you should select this option dependant on your access to the property. Joining strips are used to cover the joins if requested and are 2.5mm thick coming as a H section that clips into the joints. We recommend for door combinations a 10mm joining strip is used, to opt for the 10mm joining strip you choose multiple frames (no joining strip) and then place the joining - 10mm joining strip aluminium coupler on the sides required,This will then show on the edge of the frame.

These are the joiners that are placed in between frames to join your frames. These sizes are included in your frames.

A 10mm aluminium coupler is recommended on door combinations, or for larger frames needing extra support.

The ERA Euro Barrel is a standard 6 pin barrel. The ABS Anti Bump Barrel is a 6pin barrel with an anti-snap feature.

The cat flap will come either readily installed into the panel for you, or could be supplied separately dependant on the option you have selected.

The cat flaps come in white or dark brown and will be dependent on your choice, and this is the same colour both sides.

The cat flap will be installed centrally and to the lowest point possible with a tolerance of +/- 5mm.

The only cat flap that we supply is with the latch lock, this is so a latch can be turned to lock the cat flap from internally. We do not do magnetic locking, or micro chipped catflaps.

The cat flaps will be for a standard size cat, and not for the oversized cats where a dog flap may be required. (We do not supply these).

This is a small hole which is placed in the panel at eye height so you can look through to the outside.

Laminated glass is two pieces of annealed glass which is stuck together with a film. Laminated glass is classed as a safety glass usually used for extra security such as shop fronts and part Q building regulation requirements.

The rating of your glass represents how energy efficient your glass is.

A Rated is the best glass for energy rating, while none rated is the lowest but also the cheapest.

The acoustic value represents how much sound the glass can dampen; the higher the acoustic value the more sound it can dampen. High acoustic glass is ideal for areas where there is going to be a lot of external noise.

The makeup of the units will change in line with your choice here.

Insulated glass sealed units (IGUs), also known as double glazed units, are constructed with two panes of glass that are kept apart by a spacer bar (or pane spacer) that sits around the inside edge of the glass.

This is the extruded uPVC profile that your door will be manufactured with. We offer Eurocell chamfered, Eurocell sculptured, Profile22 Optima.

This will be the extruded uPVC internal beading that your door will be manufactured with. Our standard beading is sculptured. Our chamfered internal beading is only available with Eurocell chamfered framework

A trickle vent is an opening that is fitted into the opening vent at the top of the frame.

A trickle vent allows a small amount of ventilation, that can be opened or closed.

It is ideal for people who do not like to open their windows often, if no air bricks are in the room, or if your property suffers with condensation. Our standard size for the trickle vent is 4000mm² and 2500mm² dependant on the sash size.
